Introduction to Bridge
What is Bridge?
Bridge is a deeply strategic card game that stands out due to its intricate bidding phase and subsequent cardplay in which one player plays face up. This trick taking game uses a standard deck of 52 cards with four players in two partnerships. It combines probablility and deduction to become a dynamic and gratifying puzzle. If you consider yourself an experienced card player but don't know Bridge yet, you need to learn how to play, like yesterday.
Getting Started
There are many online resources available to learn how to play bridge. I find that many pander to an extremely novice audience, or are produced by players with so much experience that key basics are glossed over. I'm not claiming to be a great teacher, but I taught myself how to play in 2023 so the learning process is still fresh to me.
